our vacation

this past week my family and i have been Daytona, Florida (you probably already knew that). we climbed a lighthouse, played at a water park, saw the dead sea scrolls, and all the other fun stuff you do at the beach like play in the waves, build sand castles, and play in the condominium's pool( isabella's favorite).
the lighthouse was pretty interesting. we saw not just the light house but also the head lightkeeper's house, the assistant lightkeeper's house, the privy, the building where they kept the oil for the lamps, and so on and so forth.
the water park was a blast. i even got my mom to go down a few of the rides with me, which is a big accomplishment. this was probably aden's favorite thing we did.
the dead sea scrolls were VERY interesting. we saw fragments of a few books of the bible, including Genesis. there were also many old bibles there and movies that told us about them and their origin. this exhibit was my mom's favorite.
eli loved it when my dad took him and aden down to a pier to crab. they caught more hermit crabs than they caught blue crabs. they still caught enough, though, so that they could cook them and stink up our whole condominium.
my favorite was probably the water park. our schedule was so full that i almost need a vacation from my vacation!
